Siëm Estella Putland is a twenty-year-old non-binary actor based in Melbourne and a proud member of the National Drama School graduating class of 2025.
They have appeared in My Melbourne (2025), Appetite (2023) by Finley Stapleton-Hamilton and Tori Bruzek, as Antigone in Antigone directed by Jaime Dörner (2025), Lady Macbeth in Macbeth (2024) directed by Shaun Goss, and Yelena in Uncle Vanya (2024) directed by Shaun Goss. They have also worked on a range of screen projects, including showreels directed by Danielle Carter.
With training from the National Drama School, 16th Street Actors Studio, and TAFTA, Siëm has developed experience across both stage and screen.
As a proudly Indigenous Australian and Māori performer, they are passionate about fostering greater representation within the arts and bringing the truth of Indigenous and Māori experiences to audiences.
Siëm has a particular interest in theatre that explores the unknown, taboo subjects, and the darker sides of the human experience—work that challenges, provokes, and reveals.
