Kian Pitman is an Australian actor and teaching artist with international experience across theatre, film, and education. Born in Australia and raised in Malaysia, she moved to London at 18. She trained at the Actors Centre and RADA before returning to Australia to complete her acting degree at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA).
Some of her performance credits include Ava in Playdate (Amazon Prime), Naomi in Mascott, Sally in Nakabingwit: First Comes Love (NFB), and the award-winning production of Yellow Face (dir. Tasnim Hossain – KXT). Kian has taught and coached at NIDA, ATYP, The National Drama School, VADA (Canada), and Sonder Acting Studio (Canada) and has collaborated with The Smith Family Foundation on arts education initiatives. She is currently completing a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education.
Since moving to Canada in 2023, Kian has supported performers on productions such as The Last of Us (HBO), Virgin River (Netflix), ELLE (Amazon), Allegiance (CBS), Tracker (CBS), and The Irrational (NBC), dividing her time between Australia and Canada while continuing to perform, teach, and develop creative projects.
